Marie-Claude Bourque ~ Romantically Gothic and Mystical

Welcome

January17

In August 2007, a few months after my dad’s passing, I sat by Watchaug lake in Rhode Island and watched my boys play wizards. It came to me that life was not over, and that it was ok to let my imagination run free.

So I wrote a book.

In July 2008 editor Leah Hultenschmidt emailed me to request the full manuscript, and since then I have been caught on a runaway train that involves being author, going back to school become a science teacher and running after my two little boys.
And in the end, there is just me, musing about love, truth, inspiration and the writing process.

“Your book may be a masterpiece but do not suggest that to the publisher because many of the most hopeless manuscripts that have come his way have probably been so described by their authors.” — Stephen King
